Google Maps and the ability to navigate almost anywhere from your smartphone or tablet has changed the way we get about.

This was enough for us, but Google as they invariably do have raised the game. Google Maps now allows you to play PacMan whilst working out (or instead of working out) how to get to your next meeting.

What started as an interactive Google Doodle is now integrated into Google Maps, we think it is absolutely awesome and hope it is here to stay.

That’s right Google Maps now allows you to play cult arcade game PacMan with a maze modelled on the road layout of pretty much anywhere in the world and being a bit techy we absolutely love it.

You can now control PacMan as you eat pellets and get chased by Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde (your four enemies). Don’t forget to eat them all and eat as many cherries as you can.

This got us thinking of cool places you could choose to play, you could use your local area and make it feel like you live in part of a video game, or choose to go abit more exotic.

Maybe find yourself being chased through the hustling streets of New York, Paris or Berlin. Or for those used to the grind of the capital there may be a weird sense of pleasure at being able to whizz through London without having to worry about the traffic.

This may not be a very productive addition to the map for those wanting to get about, but we all need a bit of fun in our lives so applaud Google for this fun bit of PR.

Now all you need to do is work out which part of the world you are going to play in first.
